Turning memories into memoir: What’s your story?
Every life holds stories worth telling. The challenge is often knowing where to begin.
In this welcoming two-hour workshop, author, poet, and memoirist Diana Raab will help you uncover the moments, memories, and experiences that have shaped who you are. Through thoughtful writing prompts, guided reflection, and conversation, you'll learn how to recognize the stories that continue to resonate and begin transforming them into meaningful memoir.
Together, we'll explore the role memory plays in memoir writing, discover the details that bring a story to life, and practice writing with honesty, curiosity, and compassion rather than perfection. Whether you're hoping to write for yourself, your family, or a wider audience, you'll leave with new ideas, fresh pages, and greater confidence in your unique voice.
This workshop is the first in a two-part memoir-writing series. While each session can be enjoyed on its own, participants will benefit most from attending both workshops.
Open to all levels.
